Eneco is a thriving, independent and steadily growing energy company that currently employs around 3,340 people. Based in Rotterdam, the company operates on an international scale with sites in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. Eneco operates a biomass power plant at its Utrecht site and uses the energy generated to supply electricity to households in Utrecht. To protect the environment, Eneco has chosen to install an entire Scheuch flue gas cleaning line on site.
Extensive maintenance tasks
The Scheuch After Sales team is responsible for professional maintenance and servicing of the system. For this purpose, Eneco concluded a maintenance contract with Scheuch which covers extensive maintenance tasks. The Scheuch systems are shut down twice a year (summer/winter) for a period of three weeks, allowing Scheuch employees to carry out a comprehensive series of maintenance tasks. Each time the system is shut down, the entire flue gas cleaning line is thoroughly checked by specially trained service technicians who carefully record any wear and tear as well as components which need to be replaced. These components are then replaced during the same maintenance window.

Recognized for its professionalism and quality
Scheuch was once again awarded Contractor of the Week during the last 2023 maintenance window in calendar weeks 24–26. Each week, Eneco names one of a total of 20 contractors as Contractor of the Week. This honour is awarded based on the following criteria: safety (behaviour), maintenance planning and progress, quality of work, and communication and collaboration. This is the second time that our Scheuch service technicians have received this award.
