Safety first
Scheuch safety daysA lot is happening at Scheuch and every year there are new legal requirements in terms of company safety.
The safety team at Scheuch are the first in the region to include subsidiaries into a broader safety program.
Scheuch Safety Days was held December 18 and 19 and a total of 55 participants from Scheuch, Hilti, WIFI, MSA, Certific and Haberkorn participated in safety training. They learned best practices in reporting accidents, claim management, quality assurance, as well as proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Participants also had hands on training for properly performing rescue procedures. Training for rescue attempts from high heights are particularly important for Scheuch. “Everyone needs to know how to keep themselves and others safe from dangerous situations,” emphasizes Michael Rinesch, Scheuch Safety Specialist. In addition to climbing and repelling, this was also used to train on proper safety procedures when working on aerial platforms. Part of the training was including Austrian, Thailand, Sweden, and Russian safety requirements as well.
At the end of the training participants took a test using the Certific app to gauge what was learned during the training sessions. This app also provides a reference library to refer back to for topics such as rescue plans.
Back to overview“The safety and health of the customer and every single employee is a top priority at Scheuch,” says Rinesch. “In the future, we want to continue with Scheuch Safety Days more often to consistently train on individual rescue measures.”
