A maintenance concept that builds trust – long-term and partnership-based
For Eneco’s biomass power plant in Utrecht, Scheuch delivered two complete flue gas cleaning lines. The scope of supply included, among other components, multiclones, reactors, bag filters, SCR catalyst systems and complex auxiliary systems such as a bicarbonate silo with milling system, ERCS, ammonia water system, condensate water treatment, steel structure, piping as well as measurement and control technology. For ongoing operations, Eneco relies on a holistic maintenance and service concept from Scheuch that ensures smooth and efficient plant performance.
Maintenance & Service
Maximum plant availability from a single sourceThe focus lies on professionally planned, long-term maintenance. The renewed maintenance agreement in the form of a framework contract underlines the high level of trust in Scheuch and the customer’s satisfaction.
The maintenance strategy includes:
- 1× annual major maintenance over a period of 4 weeks
- 1× annual inspection – aligned with summer and winter shutdowns
- Predefined spare parts packages for rapid availability
- Everything from a single source: full coordination of sub-suppliers, trades and processes by Scheuch
The added value of this concept becomes particularly evident when dealing with process-related wear of individual plant components. In addition to ongoing maintenance, several upgrades have already been implemented. A key challenge was assessing the feasibility of potential improvements – from technical evaluation and engineering to on-site implementation by Scheuch technicians.
Safety, quality and partnership at the highest level
Eneco sets the highest standards in occupational safety, quality and organization. These include comprehensive permit systems, hole watchers, check-in/check-out procedures at inspection openings, and camera-supported monitoring of work carried out within the plant.
Scheuch not only meets these requirements but is regularly recognized for the professionalism of its planning, the quality of execution, and the competence of its personnel. Close collaboration, transparent communication and a structured maintenance process ensure smooth operations and form the foundation for safe and efficient plant performance.
